The Melbourne Swallow Analysis Centre (MSAC) is a specialist diagnostic service equipped with state-of-the-art equipment to analyse your swallowing and examine your upper digestive tract. It is operated by qualified Speech Pathologists and Otolaryngologists (Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeons) who have a specific interest and experience in the management of swallowing problems.
The Melbourne Swallow Analysis Centre is centrally located near the CBD of Melbourne making it accessible to patients from all suburbs and regions.
Clinic Fees
This is a private clinic that does not bulk bill. There are a number of funding options that may assist with the cost of accessing our services including; Medicare, private health funds, NDIS, Chronic Disease Management Plans, Work Cover, and TAC. Our booking team would be happy to assist you with more information.

Urgent Evaluation
Occasionally, a swallowing disorder can be a life threatening condition, as a result of aspiration of food into the airway, and significant malnutrition. Your referring physician can organise an urgent evaluation in such situations.
Medical Reports
We provide comprehensive written reports incorporating both medical and speech pathologist findings and recommendations for referring doctors, speech pathologists, and other professionals.
Advice & Counselling
We provide advice and counselling on the optimal dietary modifications, swallowing techniques, and other measures to keep you safe, and maximise the effectiveness of your swallow.
Referrals
We refer to and collaborate closely with numerous other specialists with expertise in swallowing disorders - including speech pathologists, dietitians, gastro-enterologists, neurologists, respiratory physicians and others, in order to obtain the most accurate diagnosis and treatment plan for your problem.
Specialised Investigation
We use advanced investigation techniques including in the diagnosis of your swallowing problem including: Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES), Video-fluoroscopic Swallowing Studies (VFSS), pH/Impedance studies for Reflux, Oral Salivary Pepsin Testing, Trans-nasal Oesophagoscopy (TNO), High Resolution Pharyngeal & Oesophageal Manometry.
Specialised Treatments
We provide the full range of world's best practice, evidence-based treatments for swallow related conditions; including office based procedures, endoscopic and open operating room procedures, EMG-guided Botox injections, laser, and many others.
Biofeedback Swallowing Therapy
We can offer live visual biofeedback options via endoscopy and hi-resolution manometry while tailoring a swallowing therapy programme.
